Young patients

The human beeing has two dentitions; The deciduous and the permanent. The deciduous teeth begin to erupt before the first year of age. The last "milk" tooth to erupt is the second molar, around the second and third year of age.

Dental care in children is sometimes neglected. This can lead to increase in dental caries. Care of the teeth is as important in children as in adults. Inculcating good dental habits in children will give them a lifetime of strong, healthy teeth.

Keeping the teeth clean and healthy is the best prevention parent´s can give to their children. Healthy can make future orthodontic treatment shorter and easier.

The early adolescence is the best time to begin treatment. During adolescence, the orthodontist can manage the growth of the jaws and move the teeth more easily. It is very important to visit an orthodontist to a check up before the age of 7.
